The Bambu Lab H3C is the first Bambu machine that stops pretending a single hotend and a filament-swapping box are the same thing as a real multi-material printer. It isn’t. This 9-tool toolchanger fundamentally changes how you approach multi-material 3D printing. The H3C gives you nine independent tools that physically trade places on the gantry in about six seconds, a 350°C hotend that cracks open the engineering-plastic catalog, and a purge footprint so small it’s genuinely hard to take a photo of. At $2,499 it’s also the most expensive consumer printer Bambu has ever shipped, and it is emphatically not for everyone.
This review is for the person already weighing that $2,499 against an X1 Carbon they could buy twice over. I’ll lead with the answer in every section, then explain why — the good, the quietly inconvenient, and the stuff Bambu’s marketing page would rather you skimmed past.
